PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMICS.

Abstract

As typical examples of the materials development stage of materials engineering, the development of PZT and PCM ceramics is reviewed. The applications stage is exemplified by a description of PbTiO//3 and (Na, Li) NbO//3 ceramics for high frequency use. Finally, possible applications of piezoelectric ceramics are reviewed in connection with their properties. Curves of the properties of the piezoelectric ceramics discussed, their phase diagrams, and illustrations of applications are provided with English-captions.
