Abstract

We have developed a low-speed and low-capacity wind power generator. In this paper, we introduce the outline of the 5 kW multi-polar synchronous generator that generates the electric power efficiently from 50 rpm to 180 rpm. The generator is produced by a magnetic powder core for cost reduction. We also express the outline and field test results of the low-capacity power plant constructed in Ohmura City, Nagasaki. © 2010 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
