Pelatihan Menulis Surat Lamaran Kerja sebagai Upaya Pengembangan Keterampilan Masyarakat

Abstract

A job application letter is the main important document that a person needs to prepare when he is going to apply for a job before he prepares other important documents. To facilitate and increase the competence of young people in writing job application letters, the village government of Margosari Kec. District Limbang Kendal held training on writing job applications. This is an effort by the village government to realize the development of community skills so that they have no difficulty applying for jobs so that after applying they hope to get a job soon. If many community members are already working, it will have an impact on economic stability, at least for themselves and their families. Thus, it will automatically affect the welfare of the village in general. This study aims to determine the impact of the job application letter writing training carried out by the Margosari Village government. The method used in this research is analytical descriptive through data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire with a sample of 19 people out of 40 people who were invited to the training. The results of the study stated that initially there were still many participants who were unable to write a job application letter, namely as many as 10 people and as many as 9 people who could not. Meanwhile, participants who lacked knowledge about job application letters indicated they did not know or did not know about the types of job application letters as many as 15 people. After the training showed that all participants expressed their understanding of writing a job application letter. This was reinforced by the statements of 12 participants who claimed they could write a job application letter if their understanding was later applied in making a job application letter, while 7 people said they were not sure. Meanwhile, from an open questionnaire, 10 people stated that there was no shortage at all and that the training was very useful.
