A regulação dos transportes coletivos por ônibus no Município de São Paulo

Abstract

This paper analyses the public transport services by buses in the city of São Paulo. The quality of this utility has been always very poor and critics have been the same along the years. A historical analysis on the São Paulo public transport services by buses was made, in order to realize the sources of this problem, as well as an antitrust law brief study on the characteristics of this market. In the end, some suggestions for an efficient regulation of this utility are presented, as a way to improve the social and economic development of São Paulo.
