Abstract

The effect of interface deformation on the onset of oscillatory convection in liquid bridges were analyzed using the laboratory experiments, numerical simulation, and energy-stability theory. The experiments for adjusting the volume of liquid for free surface deformation and boundary stability were analyzed. The results show that the nonconservative energy limits for were obtained for stability analysis of various liquid bridges.
