Abstract

Empirical evidence on depression and anxiety symptoms related to smartphone use disorder has been scarcely documented in the literature. Using and replicating data from AARP, Common Sense Media, ExactTarget, Insights West & iamota, MarketingCharts, Pew Research Center, Statista, and YouGov, I performed analyses and made estimates regarding excessive smartphone use. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
