Abstract

A new method for interpolating ray-space data is described that uses block matching and one-sided extension of the locus of corresponding points for arbitrary-view image generation. The block detects straight lines for interpolation. The one-sided extension interpolates occluded pixels. Testing showed that the proposed method generates intermediate images well even when occlusion occurs.
