Abstract

Antiblackness is a unique species of racial evil that originates in Africanized slavery. Although Africanized slavery has been abolished, the racialized relationship between blackness, black people, and slave status lives on. Rather than treating either slavery or antiblackness as moral or political analogies, scholars ought to more intently respect their uniqueness.
