Abstract

The author analyzes, from the point of view of the philosophy of culture, the historical and contemporary issue of the relationship between religion and technology. As a result of this philosophical reflection, he states that this relationship can take four different forms. The presented typology of the relationship between religion and technology then becomes a tool to find an answer to the question of whether world religions in their worldview and institutional dimensions can constructively (and not only pessimistically and critically) relate to the increasingly complex civilization issues at the turn of the XX and XXI century.
