Abstract

Introduced in the Latin American scenario by the Colombian Paola Andrea Acosta Alvarado, Multilevel Constitutionalism had to adapt to a different reality from that found in Pernice’s Europe. It so happens that the American continent does not have a supranational body similar to the European Union, satisfying for the purposes desired by Acosta Alvarado the Inter-American Human Rights System. In this context, knowing that one of the tools of Inter-American Multilevel Constitutionalism is interjurisdictional dialogue, this research will assess whether the dialogues that take place between the Federal Supreme Court and the In-ter-American Court of Human Rights regarding pre-trial detention are fruitful.
