Abstract

In response to the Comment by Scalmani and Frisch, we clarify certain claims made in the context of our switching/Gaussian discretization procedure. Furthermore, an explanation is proposed to explain observed similarities between this technique and the continuous surface charge method introduced by Scalmani and Frisch. © 2011 American Institute of Physics.
