La educación reglada en prisión. El caso español y su incidencia en las mujeres presas

Abstract

The article raises a state of the national and international question about the regulated education in the penitentiary institutions. The reinsertion processes to which the most progressive prison systems in the world are committed, use as one of the ways of reeducation to encourage the participation of prisoners in different levels of formal education. The idea is that, on the one hand, an official title can help them in their reintegration and, on the other hand, contact with culture also allows a contact with the values of coexistence. The article critically analyzes how regulated education is carried out, specifically, in Spanish prisons, studying their possibilities and limits, the levels of participation, the diversity of activities, the specific needs and problems of women, the problems and shortcomings those who face and their role in reeducation
