Abstract
Gundala is an action fiction film by Joko Anwar with the theme of social problems. In this social problem there is a class that plays an important role in it. Social class is the division of community groups based on education, occupation, property ownership, and lifestyle. The purpose of this research is to show how these classes are shown in the Gundala film. The type of research used is qualitative research using the Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method. This research focuses on the scene where the social class is represented. The results of this study indicate that the representation of social class is divided into 4 (four) categories. First, the representation of lower social class which describes education. Second, the representation of the upper social class which is shown fashion, wealth, and position. Third, the representation of conflicts between classes which is shown by the conflict scenes between workers and factory owners. Then the last is the representation of the gap between classes which is indicated by where each class lives.
