Abstract

The mycotoxin secalonic acid D was detected for the first time as a natural contaminant of corn dust obtained from grain storage elevators. Secalonic acid D amounts ranged from 0.3 to 4.5 ppm (0.3 to 4.5 μg/g), as determined by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography.
