Abstract

Comments on an article by J. H. Pfeifer and N. B. Allen (see record 2012-14937-008). In their article, Pfeifer and Allen critiqued the dual systems (DS) model. The current authors report that Pfeifer and Allen make several excellent points about the model's limitations and the challenges of mapping neuroimaging findings onto specific theoretical claims. However, the current authors point out three shortcomings in their critique. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2013 APA, all rights reserved)
