The present paper deals with the evaluation of the effectiveness of an emotional education program for elementary school children applied to a sample of 92 teachers of Primary School. We evaluated the effectiveness of the program through the application of different instruments before and after the intervention for the evolution of the five dimensions of emotional competence: awareness, emotional regulation, emotional autonomy, social competence and life skills, and wellness (Bisquerra and Perez, 2007). The results show a significant increase of the values after the intervention so it can be stated that the developed program has been effective. This is an experience that demonstrates, in accordance with what experts say on the subject, that the emotional competencies can be taught and learned and improve the environment.
