Abstract
This article aims to examine the Qur'anic literacy implemented in the Tahfiz and Tahsin program at MI Nurul Ummah. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of the Tahfiz and Tahsin program in increasing the literacy of the Al-Qur'an in MI Nurul Ummah. This study uses a qualitative approach with the setting of activities, namely the application of the tahfidz program and tahsin al-Qur'an at MI Nurul Ummah. The results of this study indicate that the tahfidz and tahsin programs play a very important role in improving the Qur'an's literacy for students, this can be seen from: first, the creation of an Al-Qur'an learning atmosphere at MI Nurul Ummah, secondly, through the implementation of the tahfiz and tahsin program fostered a spirit of religious practice for students. The concrete efforts are: (1) Routine activities at the madrasas, (2) Supervision of parents of students at home, (3) Adequate allocation of tahfidz / tahsin learning time, (4) teaching staff tahfidz / tahsin (every 10-12 students 1 teacher companion),(5) Intensive communication between madrasas and parents of students (Utilizing communication via WA groups and regular meetings every two months).
