Abstract

Immediate recall for visual patterns which varied in degree of symmetry and amount of information (2.6 to 13.7 bits) was studied. It was found that recall errors were primarily a linear function of degree of symmetry and amount of information. © 1967, Psychonomic Press. All rights reserved.
