Abstract

A full quantum theory is developed for semiconductor quantum ring photoluminescence. The computations show that the orbital angular momentum (OAM) of individual excitons yields strong angle-dependent emission. The characteristicOAMsignatures also survive signi ficant amount of dephasing, suggesting efficient quantum-level coupling between quantum-ring excitons and the OAM of light.
