Abstract

The article examines the impact of technological innovations and social media on the life of refugees worldwide as of March 2015. It states that refugees are using technology such as the Viber mobile application to contact their families despite the risk of getting caught. Other topics include the efforts of information technology companies to develop products that will empower refugees.
