Abstract
This paper investigates hydroxyapatite (HA) anchovy effects toward the escalation of odontoblast cells that stimulates reparative dentine on Rattus norvegicus' molar teeth. A true experimental laboratory was employed in this work with an in-vivo posttest group design. The samples consisted of a positive control group and the experimental groups by HA anchovy treatment with 0.25, 0.50, and 0.75 mg dosages. The surgeries were carried out on the day-30 and analyzed immunohistologically. The average number of odontoblast cells with 20.7 Ca(OH)2 addition was lower than and significantly different from the ones with 0.25 (45.8), 0.50 (55.3), and 0.75 mg (98.1) dosages of HA anchovy. There was a positive correlation between the number of odontoblast cells and HA anchovy dosages. The anchovy with 76% HA and 24% Mg(OH)2 increase the odontoblast cells and bolster its function to stimulate reparative dentine.
