Abstract

Statins inhibit the mevalonate pathway by impairing protein prenylation via depletion of lipid geranylgeranyl diphosphate (GGPP). Rab27b and Rap1a are small GTPase proteins involved in dense granule secretion, platelet activation, and regulation.
