Activisme professionnel: Masochisme, compulsivité ou aliénation?

Abstract

Professional activism is a badly defined notion. Sometimes descriptive, other times comparative, it especially provides an excuse for standard judgments. Those are often condescending or ironic and imply silliness or alienation of the supposed incompetent subject, to resist to social pressure he's going under. Rigorous clinical analysis of professional activism leads to a clearly more qualified point of view. The aetiology of this « behaviour » doesn't seem obvious and requires a discussion which will be the subject of this article.
