Abstract

A survey of Kalakad-Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve (K-MTR), Western Ghats, southern India, from September 2002 to March 2003 revealed the presence of 24 species of butterflies. Observation on diagnostic morphological features, habitat range, larval and adult food, months of abundance, duration of flight, mode of flight and associated habits, mimicry and conservation status are included with meteorological data. © Zoo Outreach Organisation.
