Abstract

This article presents and analyzes the results of a research in Pernambuco on police investigation. The main focus was police investigation on murder in Pernambuco, trying to understand the historical, institutional, cultural issues, and consequences of the current model of police investigation towards the running of the Civil Police and the Criminal Justice System and for Public Security Policies.
