Abstract

The juvenile delinquency trend is the fluctuation of the adolescent possibility to be deviant behavior and against the law, anti-morality, and disapproving religions norms. This research was aimed at finding the influence of prophetic parenting towards the juvenile delinquency trend. The samples of this research were 97 teenagers at Senior High School W at the age of 15-17 years old. Data was collected by using two research instruments. The juvenile delinquency trend scale and prophetic parenting scale. The result indicated that prophetic parenting has negative influence towards the juvenile delinquency trend, r = -0,484 (p = 0,000). This means if the prophetic parenting is higher, the delinquency trend will be low. Hopefully, this research can give an information for the parents in order to reduce the risk of juvenile delinquency trend by applying prophetic parenting.
