Abstract

As part of the search for and development of an optimal solution related to singlet oxygen (1O2) detection, an analytical review of research in this direction was carried out.1O2 is one of the key participants in many biological processes, so its detection and numerical estimation are the subject of a close study by many research groups. To date, several approaches to the optical detection of1O2 have been proposed, in most cases based on the registration of1O2 luminescence in the near-infrared range of the spectrum. The review also presents various fluorescence probes, chemical traps and several other tools that are also used for1 O2 detection.
