We explore the biophysical class contents of graduate students of health and life science areas. We focus on three main points: the relevance of teaching biophysics to provide background to the understanding of physiology, the relation between biophysical contents and the medical equipment and the necessary background in physics to teach biophysics, in special what are the contents that are not present in the high school education (acoustic impedance is a major example). In this context we discuss the differences between medical physics, biophysics and bioengineering. Finally we write about alometric laws, molecular biology and population dynamics, themes that could be explored in biophysics, but due to several reasons are outside of biophysical graduation classes.
