Dacryocystitis in infancy

Abstract

A report is presented of 437 cases of infantile dacryocystitis. Infection is considered to be the main factor in the aetiology of this condition. The results of probing long-standing cases are assessed, and it is considered that the optimum time for probing is between 3 and 4 months of age.
