Was nicolaus the Sophist a Christian?

Abstract

In Progymnasmata 45.9-21, Nicolaus the Sophist uses the Christian word παιδοφθóρoς ("boy-corrupter") in its typically Christian pairing with μοιχóς ("adulterer") to express what seems to be a Christian sentiment about avoiding detailed discussion of wicked acts.
