Abstract
Members of student organizations should have innovative work behavior, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, they need to show perseverance in developing new ideas, which can be considered a part of grit. This study aimed to examine the relationship between grit and innovative work behavior among members of student organizations. Participants were members of student organizations at a private university in Surabaya. The scales used in the study were the 12-Item Grit Scale and the Innovative Work Behavior Scale. The result showed that grit had a significant positive relationship with innovative work behavior. Perseverance of effort as a dimension of grit was a significant predictor of innovative work behavior. This means that the more persistent the organization members are, the more frequently they generate, promote, and implement innovations in the organization.
