Abstract

MANGANESE REDUCES THE THERMAL EXPANSION COEFFICIENT, AND THE STEEL HAS EXCELLENT LOW-TEMPERATURE TOUGHNESS, NONMAGNETISM AND LOWER THERMAL EXPANSION COEFFICIENT. THE PAPER REPORTSTENSILE AND IMPACT PROPERTIES COMPARED TO SUS 304 AT LIQUIDHELIUM AND AT LIQUID NITROGEN TEMPERATURES, AND DISCUSSES APPLICABILITY FOR CRYOGENIC SERVICES.
