Abstract

Various peptides are measured with the field desorption technique and compared with the field ionization mass spectra. Field desorption mass spectrometry is a proper method to analyse substances of low volatility, for example free peptides, and even those containing unprotected arginine and histidine which do not yield useful electron or chemical ionization mass spectra. © 1972 Academic Press, Inc.
