Abstract

[Label information is presented on 50 lichen specimens from Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, French Guyana, Guyana, Mexico and Surinam, which form the first fascicle of this series of exsiccata. Substantial range extensions documented by these specimens include the first finding in the Neotropis of Chroodiscus mirificus and the first record from Colombia of Cystocoleus ebeneus. Heterodermia flavosquamosa from Guayana is described as a species new to science.]
