Examines the issues surrounding Kenya's participation in international sport and specifically its performance at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England. Relationship between sport and politics in Kenya in the context of a change in the political structure from a one-party state to a democracy in December 2002; Problems facing sports promotion in Kenya in the context of being a developing country; Hurdles to sports development in the country.
