Practical education of architecture with self-build kit house system

Abstract

The class of this study used a self-build kit house is conducted on the basis of the integrated practical education. On the design stage of the personal work, designing work with the system of the kit house led to understanding the practical purpose of the system deeply, to experiencing practical design activity, and to proposing the works in reality. On the construction stage of the group work, constructing the basic unit led to learning a process of the construction, to linking the technical knowledge on lectures, and to understanding the mutual relation between the respective works from design to construction.
