Abstract
In selected patients, symptom-limited exercise testing appears to be safe as early as 3 weeks after myocardial infarction. Moreover, exercise testing provides important information regarding prognosis and functional capacity, and helps to establish guidelines for the resumption of physical activities on and off the job.
