Abstract

The main objective of this work is to offer a practical proposal of empowering ideas in sport. Part of the basis of Cognitive Psychology holds that there is an interpretation of events that influences emotions and behavior, while Positive Psychology focuses on what we intend to achieve instead of on modifying what works badly. The classical and most significant cognitive theories are taken as a basis, along with various cognitive-behavioral strategies, to be jointly applied to the implementation of these ideas in the sports environment. Applied tools of this kind are increasingly necessary for sports psychology professionals in search of the optimization of psychological work in an increasingly demanding environment.
