Abstract

Agroforestry is becoming increasingly important as an attractive option for small landowners wishing to farm marginal land or manage forested tract more intensively. The objective of this report is to relate temperature agroforestry to horticulture in terms of cropping systems evolution. This evolution is viewed as a movement from natural forest ecosystems toward agroecosystems.
