La familia a la luz del carácter personal

Abstract

This research approaches family through the light of the personal intimacy showing up its manifestations and focusing in the common features that distinguish it from other social institutions and the virtues that promote their growth. First of all, we will introduce the Leonardo Polo's proposal of the personal transcen-dentals so we can have a deep understanding of the personal intimacy. Then we will study the manifestation of each transcendental in family. Last of all, we will propose the common features that shape the notion of family. As a result, we will be able to consider a definition of family rooted in the personal intimacy and the distinction between family in reference to the personal intimacy and family institution in reference to its manifestation. The description of the personal transcen-dentals will end up with a systemic approach to the common features of the family institution.
