Abstract
The variation of electrical conductivity with addition of TiO2 in lithium borosilicate system has been studied. The addition of TiO2 to the optimum conducting composition in lithium borosilicate system further enhances the conductivity. A maximum conductivity is obtained at 10 mol% TiO2. Also the TiO2 addition results in increase in density and decrease in molar volume. The variation in glass transition temperature Tg and CTE with addition of TiO2 is explained on the basis of changes in glass structure. © 2009 IOP Publishing Ltd.
