Abstract

We inquire about the situation of male and female workers in Mendoza between 2011 and 2019 from two approaches. The first one describes the most dynamic sectors of economy and characterizes workers’ general situation. The second one systematizes labor conflict in the province. Both approaches are supported by statistical sources (primary and secondary). Our interest is to interpret labor conflict in relation to the regional configuration of employment, taking into consideration the limits or possibilities that it imposes on the labor force to express demands or make them visible.
