Abstract
The investigation was conducted with the purpose of obtaining basic vital information of subjects receiving supportive Iechnique ofcleanliness in nursing care . Forty − eight subjects were selected for this investigation . Ali the s 呵 ects received shampooing in the supine position of absolute resting condition . Measurement of metabolic rate, heart rate and skin ternperatures on six different peints for measuring 山 e mean skin tempera − ture ( MST ) were perfomed . After the procedure, direct inquiries were made asking the extent of comfort during the procedure . Shampooing was done with the Kelly − pad, and maneuvers and methods of shampooing were under uniform conditions . The amount of water and its temperature were varied under certain different conditions , Results were as follows : 1)Regarding the metabolic rates , significant differences were observed between pre − and post washlng with the increased tendency except 3rd/ 4pitchers. 2 ) Heart rates tended to decrease during the procedure , and significant difference was observed under the condition of lst / 6pitchers , 2nd/2pi童chers and 3rd14pitchers . 3 ) MST was eleva1ed gradually during the procedure, and maximum level was observed I O minutes after the termination of procedures . MST observed 10 minutes after the termination of procedures indicated sig − nificant differences compared with pre − shampooing . The above に suhs indicate that the change of metabolic rate , heart rate and MST are observed during the procedure of shampooing in supine position with absolute rest 負)r healthy young females . κ q , W ・rd ・・Shamp ・ ・
