Treatment of Typhoid Fever: A Comparative Trial of Ampicillin and Chloramphenicol

Abstract

A comparative trial of ampicillin and chloramphenicol in the treatment of typhoid fever is described in a total of 40 patients. The conclusion is reached that chloramphenicol is superior to ampicillin in the treatment of severe typhoid fever. I wish to thank Dr. O. P. W.
