Abstract
This research aims to identify the determining factors of ambidexterity in the context of the SME; to propose a framework of analysis which demonstrates the current knowledge of this study and to identify certain aspects which would deserve further exploration. It will thus question the concept of organizational ambidexterity and its content to share (unit) within the framework of SME of the central role of the ambidextrous entrepreneur as source and facilitator of the ambidexterity, the impact of the specificity of this type of structure on the forms of ambidexterity adopted as well as the importance of the external network to assure the simultaneous continuation of the innovations of exploitation and of exploration. The contribution of this study is to allow, through the innovative in-depth study the case of SME, the integration of the specificities of the SME into the conciliation of the double requirement of the innovations of exploitation and exploration and to show that the simultaneous pursuit of these two imperatives is possible for an innovative SME in spite of the constraint of resources specific to these organizations. We defend the idea that the understanding of this phenomenon within the SME cannot be made by disregarding the central role of "ambidextrous leadership ". (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
