Abstract

A review. This review covers the recent advances and applications of copper catalyzed carbon-Sulfur cross coupling reactions. The C-S bond forming reactions serve as powerful tools in synthetic org. chem. for the synthesis of various mols. that are of biol., pharmaceutical and material interest. Copper catalysis has an indisputable advantage over the other catalytic systems due to its low cost and the use of readily accessible and stable ligands. This review also demonstrates the use of copper nanoparticles as an efficient catalyst for C-S cross coupling reactions. [on SciFinder(R)]
