Abstract
School readiness is indicated to determine children ability to participate learning in primary school. The research is aimed to describe school readiness profile in children aged 5 – 6 years old in Bandar Lampung who has been declared ready to participate learning in primary school. The result in the research showed that personal and social aspects (self-awareness, self-autonomy, fine motoric skill, and tracking precisely) has lower score than cognitive and academic aspects. Therefore, the abilities are related to self-awareness, self-autonomy, and the eager to do learn is need to be developed so children can perform optimally. Parents and Teachers has an important role to support children transition to participate learning and rule in school. Children, parents, and teachers should be committed to make a synergy in order to achieve success in school.
