Abstract
Simulated microsaccadic eye movements were superimposed on a retinally stabilized image. Their effect on binocular rivalry was examined. The relative dominance of the stabilized image was measured for different values of saccadic repetition rate and amplitude. It was found that the optimal values for these parameters are those which are observed in naturally occurring microsaccades. © 1983 Psychonomic Society, Inc.
