Abstract

Aircraft parameter estimation methods for both stable and unstable aircraft are presented. Various aspects of database identification and its validation are discussed. Although the focus is on application of system identification methods to flight vehicles, use in the modeling of inelastic deformations of metallic materials is also presented.
