The paper explores the various types of pollutants found in the atmosphere, their origins, and the mechanisms through which they impact human health. Additionally, it delves into the global burden of air pollution, shedding light on the alarming scale of its impact, and emphasizes the urgent need for effective mitigation strategies to safeguard public health and preserve the environment. Also, this paper will review various existing literature related to the topic and review it. The study also identifies some of the key factors that moderate this relationship, such as socio-demographic variables, perception of health risks, and coping strategies. The findings of this study have important implications for policymakers, urban planners, and public health officials, who must consider the impact of air pollution on health while formulating policies and interventions to address this critical issue.
